{"id":123,"date":"2016-01-01T15:52:58","date_gmt":"2016-01-01T15:52:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faniebriel.com\/fb\/?p=123"},"modified":"2017-07-01T08:46:58","modified_gmt":"2017-07-01T06:46:58","slug":"40-lessons-from-last-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/faniebriel.com\/fb\/40-lessons-from-last-year\/","title":{"rendered":"40 LESSONS FROM LAST YEAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we approach the end of this year, it&#8217;s more important to focus on what was learned than to only focus on what we went through.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to take what last year\u00a0taught me to help shape my new year&#8217;s\u00a0experience-I encourage you to do the same:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Success has less to do with hard work and more to do with massive\u00a0focus on your few best opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Why resist change when it\u2019s\u00a0the main source of your growth?<\/li>\n<li>The more you invest in growing and developing your mind-set\u00a0and way of seeing the world, the more everything you touch transforms in a breathtakingly positive way.<\/li>\n<li>Pursuing excellence really does matter (in a world highly accepting of mediocrity).<\/li>\n<li>Spending full days with zero technology to refuel or do important work is a game-changer.<\/li>\n<li>Doing something super-nice for at least one stranger a day gives them a gift and an even larger one to yourself.<\/li>\n<li>Adore your parents. You\u2019ll miss them when they\u2019re gone.<\/li>\n<li>The smartest thing you can do to grow a great company is to first sweat getting A-players only onto your team and then sweat training and developing them so they play their A-game.<\/li>\n<li>Most\u00a0TV is toxic.<\/li>\n<li>Have the discipline to clean out all the energy-draining people in your life. You really do rise or fall to the level of your associations.<\/li>\n<li>Doing huge dreams we have never done can be frightening. Yet when we push to the edges of our limits, our limits expand.<\/li>\n<li>If you don\u2019t make the time for yourself to get inspired, no one around you will ever be inspired.<\/li>\n<li>Your diet affects your moods. Eat like a superstar.<\/li>\n<li>Talk less. Do more.<\/li>\n<li>Integrity is more valuable than income.<\/li>\n<li>Money invested in personal development and growth generally has a 30X plus return on investment<\/li>\n<li>Your environment (your home, your office, the magazines you read etc.) dramatically affects your levels of achievement.<\/li>\n<li>The quality of your practice affects the caliber of your performance.<\/li>\n<li>Measure your success via your influence and impact versus only by your income and net worth.<\/li>\n<li>To become successful, first\u00a0learn how to be happy. Too many think that the route to happiness is to get successful. Untrue.<\/li>\n<li>Getting ultra-fit lifts every other area of your life.<\/li>\n<li>Our biggest enemy is our doubts. We really can achieve extraordinary things in our lives. But we sabotage God-potential because of our fears.<\/li>\n<li>Drink more water.<\/li>\n<li>Watch the movie \u201cThe Kid\u201d with Bruce Willis<\/li>\n<li>If you\u2019re the smartest one of your friends, you need new friends.<\/li>\n<li>You never go wrong when you trust God and walk in obedience<\/li>\n<li>Smile.
