Right now, at this very moment, you and I are the generation who live in the most prosperous and opportune time than any other generation before us, and yet many struggle to find their footing in building a life of purpose and fulfillment.
The pace of life and technology is now faster than ever, which may cause distractions to abound. As a matter of fact, our generation is being labeled as the ‘broken focus syndrome’ generation. Daily routine has become the black hole that swallows up the joy of life out of anything meaningful that we are trying to accomplish.
This is where YOU come in – the 21st Century Leader, and your role in today’s fast paced world is more critical than ever.
When one hears or see the world ‘LEADER’ it evokes various different responses, and even questions such as ‘Am I a leader?’ Society taught us to see a Leader as someone with an important title, a big office, a big bank account, or even someone who leads a big group of people. But if you look at the meaning of the word Leader in any good dictionary, the meaning is simple and relevant to EVERY person in every sphere of life: ‘a Leader is someone who leads!’
On a daily basis, you and billions of people around the world are leading themselves in the areas of finance, health, career, retirement planning, happiness, life fulfilment, faith, mind-set, daily routine, life plans, heart set, family, personal values, beliefs, dreams, relationships, and so the list goes on and on.
If you can breathe you are alive, and you not only have the opportunity but you also have the responsibility to show leadership, not only in your work but most importantly in your Personal Life.
21st Century Leadership is a mind-set, a way of operating and constructing your days.
21st Century Leadership is a way of being in the world. (I think this needs more clarity? My suggestion – 21st Century Leadership is a way of functioning in the world)
21st Century Leadership is about leading yourself first, and YOU are the audience!
The 21st Century Leader is someone who creates a life that they cannot wait to live by taking on a definitive Leadership role on a very Personal Level.
The late Myles Munroe said: ‘The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but life without a reason. It’s dangerous to be alive and not know why you were given life.’
Instead of living the life that they want or believe is possible, many people simply settle for and live the life they are given.
Two-thirds of Americans are unhappy with their lives, and the question is why? I believe it’s because after going to school and having all kinds of tertiary education thereafter, we have predominantly learned how to pursue careers.
And of all the many things that we learn throughout our lives, rarely do we get the know-how on how to LEAD A GREAT LIFE. Life is not a dress rehearsal and this is not a drill.
Your life – my life, comes down to this moment where we ask ourselves only one question … Are we merely busy making a living, or are we making a LIFE?
And we are the Leaders who set the pace on either side of those two spectrums on a daily basis!
The 21st Century Leader Summit is designed with YOU in mind, and I will identify the 4 Spheres in life where you have the opportunity as well as the mandate to be developed into the kind of Leader that you would want to follow.
Great leaders are not born – they are made. I invite you to grant yourself the opportunity to expose the greater leader within you to an event that will help to activate and direct the Leadership qualities that you inherently do have toward creating a life that you cannot wait to live.
Only when we lead ourselves in a profound way, do all other areas of our lives follow suit – also in a profound way.
